48 Hours and counting for a Supernatural Weekend…

Hey guys,

SnowHow are you? Hope you’re all well and that the inclement weather isn’t getting you down. It’s been another busy week (no change there then) and I couldn’t be happier. It snowed, hurrah! Or rather, at the point of writing, it is trying to snow. Granted it’s currently just the odd flake (come on Manchester, you can do better than that).

OK, this is supposed to be just a really quick update. In between juggling writing (the Screaming Snowflakes sequel is practically writing itself) and reviewing two books last week (my ‘To Read List’ seems to be growing by the day), January is whizzing by.

FROGdownload (1)I’m also in the middle of prepping for my author talk at The Bolton College next week. I had an absolute blast last time and feel extremely privileged to be called back again. I won’t go into too much detail about that here, just expect a standalone post on the back of that.

I’m also trying to be constructive and get the bulk of my work done in the next 48 hours, because I’ve blocked off the entire weekend. Yup, that is the whole of Saturday AND Sunday. Being a writer, I spend every spare minute I have writing, reading and reviewing, and a part of me can’t help but feel a little anxious that I won’t be able to write. (Do any other writers get like this too – I’d love to hear from you!) I’ll be locking my laptop away (a rare occurrence, as friends will attest to), so it’s got to be something really special, right?

SUPERdownload (2)It’s one of my guilty pleasures – drum-roll: Supernatural. You know, the series about the two demon-hunting Winchester brothers. The plot-lines are gripping, the script tighter than David Hayes’s fist in his first round, and engaging performances from the fabtastic duo Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki make for essential viewing. Gal Pal S and I will be playing catch up this weekend watching seasons 5 – 7, where the only prerequisite will be lounge-wear, vino and a whole smorgasbord of take-out goodies. And you know what? I can’t wait. Rock on Saturday for eye candy central, because Dean aka Jensen, it’s been too long…

RAx

PS huge congratulations to Danneel Harris-Ackles, who as reported last week, is pregnant. Continue rocking chick! 🙂
