One of my favourite cities is about to get even more cooler. Think Mexico meets the Midlands, and you’re halfway there to imagining what I’m talking about. I am thrilled to announce the launch of Mexican Cantina El Capo in Nottingham, which will be committed to serving bold Mexican cuisine with devilish South American flair.

After 3 highly successful years in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, having established itself as a local institution for both dining and drinking, El Capo finally hits Broad Street in Nottingham with more Mexican attitude than you’ve ever seen before.

Housed at 9 Broad Street, formerly Rum House & Bad JuJu, El Capo will be spread over two floors; proudly plating its signature cuisine in the ground floor Mexican Cantina and mixing up a storm in the upstairs Tequila Bar packed with attitude.

Macho Mucho, Margaritas, Marga-litres, Mezcal, Music, Mojitos, Mac & Chese… Mas! Mas! Mas! A night at El Capo will transport you to the heart of Mexico City, where you and your amigos will leave a little more Mexican than when you arrived.

The restaurant promises ‘down right dirty but oh so good’ burritos, a long list of punchy tacos, authentic Mexican Padron peppers, prawns, burgers that make you go ooh – and of course there’s nachos laden with guacamole. Don’t forget the Macho Mucho Menu – where bigger really is better – a 2ft long burrito made for 6 but they’ve seen lone wolves take it solo and the Big Ass Chilli Burger which comes with its own planning permission.

The bar is home to a vast range of tequila & Mezcal options, a signature cocktail list longer than the 2ft burrito and margaritas galore. El Capo know how to fiesta – open ‘til 3am every night it’s coming to Nottingham with a bang.

This enticing venue will showcase something special all week with Sunday Service Big Sharing Boards, providing the ultimate hangover cure (great for a twist on the classic Sunday lunch). Steak Out Monday will focus on premium steak for 2 with sides and wine, perfect for date night and steak lovers. Taco Tuesday is great for those who love tacos (£1 all night long), whilst Wing-It Wednesday showcases, 50p wings all night, perfect with a beer or two.

The Bar is now open and the Cantina officially opens Thursday 12th October. If you book now, you get a massive 50% off bookings in October (for bookings made until 26th October). Email [email protected] now to make a reservation, or hop onto website www.elcaponq.co.uk

See you there, their churros sounds amazing.
