Congratulations on making it halfway through the week. Bank holidays always throw me, because although a short work week is all fine and dandy (hello long weekend), the following ‘normal’ week can make one feel more tired. I honestly think we’d be a more productive workforce if we had a four-day work-week (oh the things I would enact if I was Prime Minister), and I shall continue to champion this notion whenever I can.

Back to the case in point; you can quickly and easily banish the bank holiday blues by treating yourself to a classy cocktail. If you love Negroni, you’ll be pleased to know that we are currently slap-bang in the middle of Negroni Week, presented by Imbibe Magazine and Campari. Last year the event raised over half a million dollars for charity worldwide, so the bar (sorry, couldn’t resist) is set quite high.

Manhattan34 love a classic cocktail, and the classics don’t come much better than the simple genius of the Negroni – a combination of Campari, gin and vermouth. The expert bartenders at Manhattan34 have developed a special Negroni menu to celebrate the occasion. It’s packed full of traditional favourites that are focused on the very best quality ingredients, as well as some innovative twists on the theme.

Negroni Menu at Manhattan34

You can enjoy the special menu this week; a hot favourite is the classic Manhattan34 Negroni, made with the very best ingredients – classic Campari, Bulldog gin and Cinzano Rosso, garnished with orange peel. This deep red drink has a semi-sweet flavour and is perfect for sipping as a standalone drink, or alongside a cheeseboard.

If you prefer something a bit more off the wall, the Negroni variations on the menu offer something a bit special. If you love coffee, try a Cold Brew Coffee Negroni? Made with Bulldog gin and Campari, cold brew coffee and Cinzano Rosso and garnished with simple coffee beans this drink really packs a flavour punch because of the bold ingredients.

The connoisseur may prefer the Negroni 34. Here Manhattan34 have aged the cocktail for 34 days to intensify the flavour. It’s still got the iconic Negroni flavour of course, but ageing it really takes the drink to the next level. Giving the drink time to develop uniquely allows the well-matched flavours to blend even more perfectly.

Of course, Negroni Week is not just about fantastic drinks. It is also about the bartender community across the world joining together to raise money for charity. This year the Negroni menu is supporting the Refugee Canteen where 10% of all Negroni sales during #NegroniWeek will be donated to this charity.

Here is the address below. See you at the bar. (I’ll be the one sipping Negroni 34).
