The Great Christmas Show rocks into Wollaton Hall

Hey all, how are you doing? It’s been a lovely weekend, spent editing, frequenting the theatre (review coming soon) and cooking my first rice pudding (blog coming soon). What have you been up to?

As you now, I frequent Nottingham a fair bit, because it’s one of my favourite spaces in the world. I didn’t really need an excuse to pop along, and I know it’s too early to be even mentioning the C-word, but needs must. The Great Christmas Show (there I’ve said it) will be rocking into Wollaton Hall over two weekends, November 28th and 29th and December 5th and 6th.

This magical Christmas experience will see a host of food and drink stands dotted around the grounds with additional master-classes in gift wrapping, handmade Christmas gifts and celebrity bakers showing you how to bake the perfect seasonal cakes.

You can’t have a Christmas event without Santa, of course and the big man himself will be attending both weekends of The Great Christmas Show. It’s perfect for a family day out, or just to have a pootle around the beautiful grounds wearing a chunky woollen scarf and warm mittens whilst sipping hot cocoa.

In addition to a schools charity Christmas extravaganza, there will be a cool carol singing competition, and X Factor winner, Sam Bailey, who is a big supporter of the spectacular two weekend festival of all things Christmas and musical, will be releasing a video to all the schools taking part to thank them for their efforts.

So make sure you are down at Wollaton Hall on the 28th and 29th November or the 5th and 6th of December to enjoy all this wonderful event.

Tickets for the event are £2 for children and £5 for adults with under 5’s going in free of charge. For more information hop onto www.greatchristmasshow.co.uk or stalk, them on Twitter @GreatFoodDrink.

See you then!
