Wimbledon might be over for another year, however it is never too late to get your fix of strawberries and cream. Yes, the humble strawberry, a quintessential summer fruit, has been wholeheartedly embraced by Grand Pacific Restaurant & Bar in their Summer High Tea in Manchester.

Beginning with an array of savoury bites such as Eccles cake with cheese, salmon and tuna tartare, forbidden rice arancini, chicken sandwiches and potato cake with smoked salmon; guests will then indulge in a plethora of strawberry treats including fresh strawberries with creamy panna cotta, strawberry and lemon tart, dark chocolate dipped strawberries and strawberry shake, to name a few.

Accompanied by a masterfully blended cocktail or fragrant loose leaf tea creation such as Darjeeling, camomile flower, Moroccan mint, red berry or passion fruit guava and mango – high tea in the historic splendour of Grand Pacific does not disappoint.

Opened in March 2017, Grand Pacific is located in the renowned Grade II listed Manchester Reform Club building.  The 120 cover restaurant and bar offers informal dining from lunchtime through to the evening, blending flavours from exotic places with English classics.

The feature 25 seat Long Bar is inspired by Raffles Hotel in Singapore. The bar plays host to expert mixologists creating bespoke cocktails filled with imported fine spices and intriguing botanicals. The stylish pineapple logo could not be more fitting for the Grand Pacific philosophy. Since pineapples were discovered in the early 15th century they have symbolised prosperity, generosity and hospitality.
