Screaming Snowflakes

Book Signing / Charity Raffle: Thursday 30th October, 2014 @ Rhode Island Cafe Bolton. SEE YOU SOON!

Hello Guys, How are you? It’s been a busy few weeks, not long to go now, for my book signing! In between prepping for a wedding and planning the schedule for the book signing afternoon, I’m finding the minutes are melting away faster than you can scarf down Tom Kerridge’s Chocolate Tart (more on that later). I’m also hosting a charity raffle to raise funds for Bolton…

Loving book publicity for Screaming Snowflakes

Hey guys, how are you? It’s Friday the 13th and it’s all going swimmingly well (touches wood just in case). I know I’ve been away for some time, so I guess I’m trying to compensate by going into blogging overdrive. In between starting another book, reading more scripts and everything else in between, I had a lovely chat with James Hartnell from the Bank…

It’s been a busy few weeks on the book front. And I couldn’t be happier, it makes those nightly 3 hour sleeps worth it! Now, there’s nothing more I love than a good write-up. It makes all the hard work seem worthwhile. Imagine slogging your guts out, and eventually, it all falls into place. I’m feeling pretty high at the moment (and…

What is the best feeling in the world?

Hey guys,

How have you been? Hope all is well in your little corner of the world! I can’t believe it’s already mid-week. It’s also no coincidence, but I’ve been hearing a lot about ‘Hump Day’ (honestly I’m not being smutty, it’s a phrase denoting the middle of a work week, hence the bulk of hard work being already done). I’m sort of chuffed to say that I haven’t had a ‘Hump Day’ in ages, I love my work too much (triple whoop!).

Talking of passion, creative folk out there will get exactly where I’m coming from. What is the best feeling in the whole wide world? And, what brings it on? You know, something that makes you realise that it’s all worth it and makes you feel a million – no, a trillion dollars? I was in town earlier and bumped into a lovely girl who said she loved my book, had finished it in two days and asked when the next one was coming out? Apart from being flustered that someone recognised me (I know, I’m geeky, bite me), I was totally overwhelmed by her praise. That one single comment made my day (I’m still walking on Cloud 9).

I’ll let you in on a little secret. Creatives generally are a quirky, needy bunch. That’s needy with a capital ‘N’. (I can be whiny too, but that’s only when I haven’t had my 7am double-shot Americano, which is a rarity these days.) When our work is acknowledged or better still, praised, us creatives cannot help but be effusive with thanks (or in my case, stop functioning for a whole five minutes).

To top off an awesome day, I read about my book on the brilliant Business Boom Bolton website. I would like to say a massive thank you for featuring Screaming Snowflakes, you guys rock! You can read the full article here. Would love to hear what makes your day guys.

Ciao for now, I promise not to stay away too long!

Axx

Screaming Snowflakes

Hey guys, hope you’re all well! So, after spending the morning catching up on social media (since when did social media become so unsocial?), I finally did a quick write-up about my latest project. You can see the full Screaming Snowflakes post here. In the meantime, have an awesome weekend guys and enjoy the weather (I think Spring is around the corner, it’s lovely…
