Nestled alongside the chain and independent restaurants and pubs on Lloyd Street is a small but perfectly formed store, Tipples of Manchester. The former fish and chip shop has been transformed and given a new lease of life as a liquor store stocking a wide range of spirits, syrups, bitters, mixers, beers and wines as well as a range of glassware and cocktail equipment.

They will be selling an array gins from larger brands such as Gin Mare and Portobello Road and local favourites such as Three Rivers and Manchester Gin.

Owner Greg Adams said: “Tipples of Manchester is a one stop shop for all your liquor needs. If people don’t find what they are looking for, we will happily guide them through our liquid library towards the perfect drink.

“Drinks have long been a passion of mine, from the first time I was taught how to mix a cocktail at Henry J Beans back in 2005. I have been hooked since then on the myriad flavours and experiences out there, just waiting for the more adventurous drinkers to dive in.

“I wanted to bring all my knowledge and passion for drinks to the wider market via my new store. I can’t wait to welcome the people of Manchester and provide a really personal service to the customers and make my lifelong dream become a reality.”

Greg is a well known face in Manchester’s ever burgeoning restaurant and bar scene. He has worked for some of the biggest operators in the sector including Living Ventures where he designed cocktails for their many different concepts, and most recently Vantguard, representing the global company’s brands across the UK.

Tipples will also be offering complimentary weekly tasting sessions in store on a Friday and Saturday 2-7pm with spirit brands including Don Papa rums, Pinkster gin and Three Rivers gin. No booking is required just turn up and enjoy.
