Ragdale Hall Spa – the UK’s Best Destination Spa* – has appointed Martin Carter as its new Executive Head Chef.

Martin has joined the Leicestershire-based spa from working overseas in Europe, where he was Executive Head Chef for Viking Cruises.

Previous to this, Martin enjoyed a diverse career working as an Executive Head Chef for resorts and hotel groups (some of which he helped open along the way) in the Caribbean and high-end travel destinations around the world. 

Martin will now lead a 25-strong team of to deliver an ever-evolving menu of high-end cuisine to spa diners – be it resident or day guests – for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 365 days a year.

On joining Ragdale Hall Martin said: “Food has always been a great passion of mine, and I’m absolutely delighted to join the team at Ragdale Hall where, having spent many years overseas experimenting with different flavours and cuisine, I hope to bring some of my experience to the menu.

“I have a great foundation from which to start and moving forward plan to build on the offering for guests by introducing new flavours, trends and creative techniques, and developing the team within.”
