As a frequent visitor of Birmingham, the news of a fine dining Indian restaurant launch excites me greatly. Yes, that’s right, fine dining connoisseurs are set for another treat as Broad Street is home to a new premium Indian restaurant with the arrival of Varanasi – a new age dining experience.
Located at the top of Broad Street by Grosvenor Casino, the venue is set on three floors, two of which are underground. It’s a sumptuously chic restaurant, with no expense spared to showcase a jaw dropping décor fit for a king.
The owner of Varanasi travelled the globe researching chic up-market bars and the finest restaurants to find inspiration and create something Birmingham has not seen before.
The entrance to the restaurant is temple-like, acting as a sentry post, guarded by a row of Buddhas standing to attention.
