Rogan & Co, Simon Rogan’s Michelin-starred neighbourhood restaurant in Cartmel will be hosting a week-long celebration of Simon’s debut book Rogan: The Cookbook. The first ever Rogan Book Week will take place from Monday, March 4th to Sunday, March 10th with Simon cooking a selection of his favourite dishes from the book, published by Harper Collins in 2018.

Simon, along with Rogan & Co head chef Tom Barnes and his team, will be creating a six-course taster menu which will be available for lunch and dinner on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and Sunday lunchtime at £85 per person. Diners can also opt for accompanying wine flight or selection of seasonal cocktails which have been matched to complement each dish. Signed copies of Rogan: The Cookbook, will also be available throughout the week.

Dishes Simon will be creating include the salt baked turnip, egg yolk and pork lardo, the marinated turbot and mussels with miso pickle as well as poached pear with rosehip and cobnut crumb and more, all taken from the cook book, and made with produce grown on Our Farm – Simon’s farm in the Cartmel Valley.

Rogan: The Cookbook contains stories and accessible recipes depicting the connection between nature and food and the importance of locally sourced produce. It encourages readers to consider the origins of their food and inspires them to demand more from their food by eating seasonally, locally and by using organic produce as often as possible.

An overnight package is available on Monday, March 4th and Thursday, March 7th 2019 for guests who wish to extend their stay and try Rogan & Co’s bespoke village bedrooms.
