Hello, I hope you are all having a fabulous Easter break.

The title to my post was something I drafted way back in November. I realise it has been a while since I blogged, so here is my attempt to get back on the blogging train.

Carving out time for personal projects can be difficult and I’m not going to lie, it’s been a manic few months. In between wedding planning, studying for three courses plus juggling the day job, I feel there aren’t enough hours in the day to dedicate to the fun stuff (in my case blogging).

The thing is, everything seems to be happening all at one. Come June, which is a few short months away, things will be a little calmer. Well, a lot calmer, as long-running projects will be tied up by then.

In the meantime, it’s all about just keeping my head down and cracking on with the tasks at hand.

I have plans for my blog going forward. Drum roll.

I plan to include work from The Day Job here on my blog too, so far I’ve kept things separate but no longer. I get that you have to compartmentalise, but what if there are say five things that sort of overlap?

I’ll give you an example, I love being a journalist (reporter for Reach if you’re being technical), I love writing about food, I love political PR, I love beauty and fashion, see, there’s LOTS that I love to write about and wax lyrical about. I have around 10 different social media profiles, and I’m not going to lie, it’s tough trying to post consistently across each one. Which is why I’ve decided to streamline and bring all my projects and passions under fewer roofs. I am hoping life will be a lot easier which means more time for me to share my thoughts here on my blog.

How many social media profiles / projects / have you got? And how many hats do you wear on a daily basis? It can get mighty confusing, not to mention downright tedious if you’re juggling myriad passions and interests.

I find the best thing is to stop thinking and start doing. Instead of just parking the task of streamlining social media profiles, I thought ‘hang on, just decide now what you want to keep and can the rest.

Here are my social media profiles

My Twitter | My Instagram | My Facebook | My YouTube | My LinkedIn | My Pinterest

So here goes. After undertaking a social media audit, here are my revised profiles. I do hope you will follow me over there too. And of course I will follow you right back.

In the meantime, I would absolutely love to know what your thoughts are on writing about, or covering more than one interest.

See you very soon,

Ria.
