Thank You For Stopping By

I write about food, books and lifestyle. I can usually be found sipping a coffee whilst devouring a book, or tapping away on my trusty laptop, or scribbling away in one of my beautiful notebooks (yes I am a stationery fiend).

Recipes

I have given food demonstrations at The Bolton Food Festival and cooked in the same line-up as James Martin and Ainsley Harriott. I love food and cooking (especially the eating bit). Here you’ll find recipes for cooks at all levels. From simple sponges to complex curries, there is something here for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for whipping up something quick, or you’re seeking a recipe that requires more skill, perhaps for a weekend cooking session, I hope you’ll find something here that makes you run headlong into your kitchen and get cooking!

I am a food critic on several judging panels. Need my help to take your eatery to the next level? Get in touch now.

Restaurant Reviews

Stuck on where to eat? Delve into the list of reviews here. I’ve done all the legwork so you don’t have to. Key geographical areas covered are Derby and Nottingham, with Manchester and London to feature more in the coming months. If you’re looking for specific restaurant recommendations, feel free to Tweet me on @Amber_Tesia and I’ll try my hardest to get back to you within 24 hours (because one must always act expediently when matters of food are concerned.)

Books

Screaming Snowflakes is my debut novel and the first in a two-book Gothic romance story. It is a tale close to my heart, which is a story mash-up of my favourite genres of classic romance with a dash of Bollywood. My second novel, Burning Raindrops will be released imminently and I am thrilled to share a cover reveal here.

You can buy the first novel in the series now via Amazon. For a signed copy, or to discuss book events, email [email protected].

Whether you’re an avid reader or keen author, if you love books, read on. Here you’ll find articles about writing including tips on how to be a more productive writer, and the latest publishing news.

Weddings

When I started planning my own wedding, I realised I had a lot of information to navigate. There is so much to take on board and get through, from wedding dresses, wedding cakes and wedding planners to honeymoon vacations and ceremonies, that I am thoroughly excited by it all!
I am putting together a wedding resource hub, so if you’re a wedding supplier, do get in touch so I can include you in my listing.

Health & Fitness

As we lead increasingly busy lives, health and fitness can fall by the wayside. Self-care is so important, and I am keen to champion this broad range encompassing topics such as wellbeing, mental health and physical fitness. Check in here for your regular dose of health and fitness stories, and how you can ultimately lead a happier, healthier life.

Book Reviews

Combining the love of baking and reading

My passion for reading started when I was around 10 years old, where I recall falling in love with Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo, Brontë’s Wuthering Heights and absolutely anything with Hercule Poirot in it.

Fast forward to present day and I still dig reading and sharing news about my favourite books.

I am also part of the Derby Book & Cake Club, a closed reading group where every month sees a bunch of us bake cakes and read a book whilst hunkering down in a local pub.

If you have a book that you’d like reviewed by me, please do get in touch by emailing [email protected]. My sweet spots are psychological thrillers, whodunnits and the occasional romance, however if it’s a compelling story of a book outside these genres, then do get in touch, I look forward to hearing from you.

I would love it if you kept in touch with me via social media. Here are a few platforms I can be found on.
